U8 Activity Day -Croke Park

The GAA’s biggest stage – Croke Park recently hosted the largest congregation of children playing gaelic games as part of Leinster GAA Go Games – Play & Stay activity days on 5th and 6th July.

Almost 30 clubs from Dublin were again invited to participate in these great days out – which have proven over the years to be an unforgettable experience for the children involved and their parents alike. All the teams involved had a chance to play against teams from all over Leister.

With a total of six mini pitches set out for games Croke Park was a hive of activity. “I’m sure it must be a record to have so many people playing on the pitch – it is in keeping with our wish to give the ordinary people greater access to Croke Park” said John Horan, Chairman Leinster Coaching & Games.

The unforgettable experience of playing the field was accompanied with the opportunity to change in the dressing rooms with the finale seeing every team getting the chance to lift the Delaney Cup like so many of their heroes at the presentation area.

Dublin GAA would like to thank Leinster GAA and Games Development Section in Croke Park, for the wonderful opportunity to participate it such a great event
